What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching provides the environment and opportunity for an individual to unleash their true potential as a person and/or as a worker in terms of creativity, accomplishment and relationship. Life Coaching is an opportunity to create the vision of the life you desire. It provides both inspiration and accountability. Life Coaching assists you in moving from where you are, overcoming roadblocks, and directing your energy more efficiently.
How does Life Coaching work? Your Coach will help you to Recognize where you are and who you are, Organize your resources, skills, and needs, Energize you to endure growing pains, develop patience and focus on the mountain mover not the mountain, and finally Realize what you would like your life to look like. Then a specific Action Plan is developed by you and the Life Coach. Goals will be identified and prioritized. You will learn new skills, identify recurring problems. You will identify your resources, further develop your strengths, and increase your motivation to move forward. Life Coaching is all about moving forward, not dwelling on or analyzing the past. Life Coaching is a partnership. It is an opportunity to re-evaluate, a time to de-stress, and a time to adjust. Life Coaching is a discovery process, an opportunity to focus on living and loving the life you were meant to live!
The Coaching Process
The Coaching process is primarily a process of inquiry and personal awareness. It is an opportunity for you to unlock your own wisdom! The initial coaching session is typically conducted in person. This can be at Coach Pam’s office or a coffee shop or over lunch. Subsequent sessions are often conducted over the phone, but can be in person as well. Email support may also be a part of the coaching process.
The initial session typically last 90 minutes and subsequent sessions last 30 to 60 minutes. A one-time session is considered an initial session. Sessions are packaged and may be purchased at a discount. Sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly and typically take place over a 2-6 month period of time. At times there will be homework assignments. You may be provided with enrichment in the form of articles, email and other website information. Customize your coaching package with Pam to best meet your individual needs. Christian principles may be incorporated into the coaching process as agreed upon by client and coach.

Types of Life Coaching
Individual Coaching
The Coaching process for an individual provides an opportunity for you to be successful as a person—to be the best you! This is a chance to develop structure in your life, find balance. Individual Coaching works for persons who have experienced difficulties, entered a different season of life, or just want to make a positive change. Coaching can help develop a bridge of hope from the trials of the past to the treasures of the future.
Couple's Coaching
The Coaching process for couples incorporates forgiveness, compromise and effective communication. Couples set meaningful goals together. The focus is on strengthening the relationship. Instead of dredging up past hurts, couples agree to move forward, together.
Adolescent Coaching
The Coaching process for adolescents requires a unique approach in assisting in preparing them for adulthood. Adolescents face enormous challenges, can become overwhelmed, and may be tempted to give up. Coaching provides them with their own cheerleader as well as a guide to help them reach their potential.
Parenting Coaching
The Coaching process for parenting assists in developing family goals through improved communication, positive parenting techniques, and identification of resources available. The Coach helps parents identify age appropriate methods to raise responsible children. The Coach also helps to motivate parents to endure and press on through the difficult times as well as celebrate the fruitful times.
